Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for this course?
All you need to do to register with us is complete all the appropriate fields on the enrollment pages. You will be able to get started right away once you complete your registration. Another option is to call us at 866-455-8054, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to register by phone. It takes just minutes either way!
Does the course cost anything?
Unfortunately, there is a cost to attend 4 Hour Online Traffic School. Our everyday low price of just $34.95 covers all elements of the course including immediate access to the website and the completion certificate. This price is negotiable however, and NationalOnlineTrafficSchool.com will beat any competitors advertised price.
Can I take the course voluntarily or do I need a ticket to attend?
Anyone can participate in our course to improve or brush up their knowledge of traffic safety techniques and laws. You don’t need to have been cited for a traffic violation to register. Please contact our office at 866-455-8054 if you have any questions.
Can I use someone else's computer or Internet service?
You can take this from home, work, or anywhere with internet access. You can even use this course as an excuse to visit family or friends! If you prefer, you can also rent time at a copy or computer center. Whatever computer you use, you simply need internet access. This also means that you can start on your own computer and then finish on another.
Must I complete this course in one sitting?
Our program is designed for the person who does not have a lot of time. The course is broken up into twelve (12) chapters. You can complete one chapter, log off, and then log back on at a later time, and the computer will record the section you have completed. You can log on and off as often as you wish until you complete the program. You can also do the entire course in one sitting.
Are there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the course?
In order to take our course, your system must meet the following requirements, in addition to Internet access (28.8k or higher):
- Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS 9/X or Linux
- Your browser MUST support JavaScript, Cookies, and Secure Sockets Layer.
- Macromedia Flash Plug-in 8 or above.
These are the minimum system requirements that will enable you to watch our videos.
What happens if I fail the final? Can I take it again?
You may take the final an unlimited number of times without having to pay a retake fee. A new final will appear on-screen immediately when you fail.
How do I get back into the program if I have already enrolled?
If you have already enrolled, you have a username and password. You may re-enter those codes on the log in area on our home page as many times as necessary to access and complete the program or click HERE for the login screen. If you forget or lose your username or password at any time, give us a call at 866-455-8054.
Will my username and password to the course expire after a certain time?
No. You will always have access to the course as long as you have not cancelled or completed the program. Our course does keep track of your progress, so if something goes wrong, simply log off, log back in and continue where you left off.
What should I do if I get knocked off-line in the middle of a section?
Many Internet users are knocked off-line frequently. This may result from a lost Internet connection, another call interrupting your connection if you are on a single line with call waiting, or simply because your own computer crashes. Remember, as you complete each section of the course, your progress is logged. Completion of chapter one (1), for example, cannot be lost if your answers are submitted to the system and graded on screen. Being knocked off-line at that point will only bring you back to the start of the next chapter, not delete your progress in chapter one. Our website is unable to control your internet connection, so any inactivity on your part will not result in our system booting you off-line. Any activity requirements will be on the part of your internet service provider.
What do I need to do if I get disqualified from the program?
If you were disqualified from the course, you need to contact our office at 866-455-8054. Reasons for disqualification could include, but is not limited to, clicking the back button while in the program or leaving the program active without any activity going on while online.
What if my deadline for completion of the traffic school course has passed?
Contact your court directly for instructions regarding extensions of your due date. We cannot extend your due date.
How do I receive course credit?
Once the course is completed an official State certificate is issued. The certificate of completion is sent directly to you. Whenever you receive your certificate of completion, it is your responsibility to return it to the proper agency.
How long does it take to get the certificate?
This depends on the mailing option you select. When you enroll, you may choose regular mail or expedited service. You may even get the certificate emailed to you! Your choice.
What do I do if I do not receive my certificate and need a duplicate sent?
If you have not received your certificate, please contact our office at 866-455-8054 or email us at contact@nationalonlinetrafficschools.com.
